I’m a little bit OCD when it comes to boots, as I am on my feet a lot while on Patrol. These are some of the best I have worn. I have worn Nike SFB, Danner Tachyon, and other sporty tactical boots. Not only are these light weight, but they are comfortable, and offer an “Athletic” feel while wearing them, and looks great. I’ve climbed stairs, fences, and also done light running in them. The Eva foam midsole is supportive, and offers a good ride that provides excellent shock absorption provides good energy return, it is the perfect mix of cushioning and stability. With that being said, they excel at any duty related job where you will be on your feet, and they also take a nice shine.These boots are also roomy in the toe box, which is nice for toe splay. These boots also have held up in the waterproofing department, as I have walked through snow, and light water with them, and have stayed dry. The only thing I had to change was cutting the small back heel pull tab off with scissors. It’s gets caught in the back of my uniform pants, when going from sitting to standing, but cutting it solved the issue. The boots are also easy to get back on, so I don’t need the heel tab. All in all a great waterproof boots with a athletic feel.
