One year later: Although I love my Bexley 1's ortho shoes; this company has made the dumbest mistake in shoe history. They discontinued Bexley 1 and cheaped-out by creating the far inferior Bexley II. Why would they discontinue the most stylish and comfortable orthopedic shoe on the market? Especially in tan and burgundy? There are no other orth's that compare to Bexley 1. I bought a pair of Bexley II's and sent them right back. No comparison. The ratings on Bexley II are usually 2 stars compared to 4 1/2 stars for Bexley 1. Whoever made the decision at the company by cutting costs should be fired. BRING BACK BEXLEY 1 - even if the price is higher. I'll never buy another Drew show again because their quality has gone way downhill.Original review: They feel like Mephistos without the weight and, so far, I'm delighted with them. I bought the brown suede which are great looking. The good thing is, you can take out the bottom or top insoles depending on how much room you need. I took out the bottom insole which is flat and kept the better top insole because the shoes were a bit tight at first. I'm a 12 wide, but for this pair - I removed the bottom insole - and now, there's plenty of room. You have to play around with the insoles and break-in the shoes for a couple of days before making a decision whether or not to keep them. Also, if you wear thick socks - you may need to switch to thinner ones if the shoes are snug at first. Once you've made these adjustments - you'll feel the true orthopedic support and never go back to a low-priced brand that makes back problems worse!
