Let me start by admitting I have owned these pants for a total of 2.7hrs, so I won't speak to their durability.Just arrived today in the mail, as in USPS (which arrives alot earlier in the day than UPS etc.). They come in this little plasic bag, rolled up to roughly the size of a hand towel, and completely wrinkled. I put them on right away to test the fit, and was surprised to find the wrinkling was gone pretty quickly, within a few hours of wear.I struggle to find pants that fit well as I'm 5'2" and ~135lbs, athletic build by dad standards. I usually wear American eagle 28x28 jeans, but I've gotten tired of the poor durability, and I hate that their size changes based on how long it's been since they've been washed (i.e. cotton/denim sucks). So after much reading and thinking I bought these Prana Zion Stretch in 28x30, figuring I would just hem them. Even though they are available in 28x28, that availability is mostly theoretical because I can't seem to find them unless I wanna pay full price for them in blue.Fit: I used the fit guide on Prana.com and it was spot on. It suggested 28x28, I also measured my waist using a tape measure and it was 30.75", so within the 30-31" recommended by Prana for a size 28 pants. The waist was spot on; perfect fit. The 30" inseam was slightly long, but alot shorter than I had anticipated. I won't them, and I won't bother looking for 28x28 anymore; 28x30 is fine. 28x30 jeans are never ok for me, they get all bunched up and look like crap.Style: I think they have a similar leg width to bootcut jeans, probably slightly narrower, but they still fit well over my boots. I definately wouldn't wear them to corporate event, but I work in a pretty casual environment, and they would be fine. If you're company requires business casual, these pants are not. If they allow casual, you're good. They look pretty cool overall. Reasonably 'outdoor'-stylish, not super baggy.Quality/value: Stitching looks good, fabric seems like good quality. Thicker than expected; these are not ultrathin pants. Regular price is $85. Yeah that's right ... you could buy like 3 pairs of dockers on sale for that price ... but then you'd be wearing dockers. I paid $50, and at that price I'll buy them all day. I end up paying nearly $40 for jeans because so few brands even make my size, finding a sale is nearly impossible. So for me, at $50 value is very good. At $85, I'd buy if I needed to, but I'd do everything in my power to wait.Comfort: Super comfortable. Imagine not wearing pants but still being warm and being allowed in public. They are actually slightly rough to the touch both inside and outside, but being stretchy, they never really press against you very hard. I've always worn jeans, but I may never go back.Durability: TBD. Nylon and synthetics in general are known to be far superior to cotton or wool in durability so my hopes are high.Stretch: They call this 4-way stretch. Maybe it is; I'm not a textiles expert. But I am an engineer, and I can tell you that I tested the stretch in a variety of directions and they don't seem to stretch at all in the direction from foot to hip.Warmth: I live in upstate NY, which unless you're from Montana, ND, Wisconsin, or Minnesota means unrecognizably cold. Today was not terrible at 16F and windy. These pants are significantly warmer than jeans.Applications: Obviously hiking. I bought these for general outdoor stuff, in particular hunting and scouting for hunting; for those non-hunters, scouting is like hiking but not on a trail. I suspect these will be perfect. Only downside is they are a little loud, but unless you draw your bow with your feet you'll be ok.Again, just buy them. Cheers.
