Ordered several styles of Laredo boots in my standard 10D size. Compared to the other boots in my order this pair had the loosest fit. Re-ordered them in a size 9.5D. These turned out to be tighter (imagine that!!) than any of the other boots and it looked like what I really needed a size right in the middle (a 9 3/4 D). I was considering returning both pair, but eventually decided to keep the smaller pair.I have a high arch which has always caused me problems finding comfortable shoes that don't have laces that can be adjusted to account for the arch. This is especially true with western boots and this pair was no exception as the tightness was across the arch and not in the toe. In the past I've had the instep/arch of the boots stretched just enough to give me that extra room. I have gotten some leather softener and am currently stretching them. There is also the possibility that square toed boots (all of the other pairs were rounded or pointed toe) fit a little looser because of the design. As I seldom where this style, I don't have the experience to confirm this.I bought this boot because it looked nice on-line and came in my large size... 13 EEE. It looked nice when it arrived too, but I was not happy to find that a) the boot is lined with fabric, not leather (it doesn't say this anywhere in the description) and b) the junction of the shaft of the boot to the foot of the boat has extra large margins on the inside which are bound to rub and cause irritation to the wearer. Since I respect amazon's return policy, I wanted to return it in brand new condition so I never even tried it on and so I cannot judge how well it fits someone with a large foot like mine. I am disappointed in the quality and construction but appreciate the free return.Appears to have cheap construction. Uneven cutting. One of my boots arrived with an overshot cut exposed on the edge of the upper just above the sole--right where water would try to enter. Someone at the factory noticed this because it has glue dabbed over it, but I wouldn't trust it to keep water out. Maybe acceptable for cheap boots, but not at this price point. Will be returning.Great boots. Pretty comfortable from day 1 and after a week of wearing, perfect fit. Very nice casual, everyday boot. Recommend. Bought a second pair when I saw my size was priced at $67.00, paid $125 for the first pair.I have a big, wide foot and these boots were sized well at 13 3E. But they are not comfortable at all if you are going to be on your feet, and the way they are designed forced you to step with the outside of the boot too far underneath you foot. I rolled my ankles a whole mess of times with these boots.Bought these for my fiancé for Christmas. They are the perfect boot for jeans, yet don't make you look like you're trying to be a cowboy. The square toe is a more urban look, and he loves the comfort and fit.GreatGreat boot
