After 53 years of dress shoes that don't fit, I had given up hope. I have owned at least a dozen different pairs. I have gone to the mall and tried on everything. Nothing fit. And even worse - they were ugly! Except the $500 shoes - they always looked good. But it didn't matter, because they didn't fit. I have wide feet. Finding wide shoes made matters even more frustrating.Well I have never owned a pair of black dress shoes and needed some. I am a now a professional photographer. My shoes need to look good, fit, and be comfortable - 8 hours of being on my feet comfortable. So off I went in search for some shoes. The mall....a waste of time.So I tried Amazon. Read the reviews. Free returns........So I thought I would give it a go. And wala! Shoes that fit, look good, and are comfortable. Woohoo!!!!!These shoes are very well made. Full grain leather upper with a lining. Even the $500 shoes don't have linings this nice! Through the entire shoe - not just wear you can see. The foot bed has a nice removable foam insert that can be easily replaced when it gets worn out. The shoes laces even even high quality. They stay tied - unlike the cheaper ones that are either too thick or waxed up. And the laces are the right length. It seems that other shoe manufacturers could at least get that right. The sole is synthetic and has some give to it to further increase the comfort. The shoe finish is solid, without defects.I was concerned that the shoes may be too casual. Generally casual shoes are much more comfortable than dress shoes. But these shoes look great with a suit and tie. As I said, photographing weddings, I need to look good. But the shoes will also look good with a pair of dockers and a casual shirt.The shoes fit right out of the box. I usually have to bend the shoes to get them to not slip on my feet. Not these. Wow! They really fit. Since most shoes never fit - I ordered two different sizes. But there was no need. I tried the shoes on with both thin and thick socks. The shoes fit with both.So the bottom line is: Hey Mikey, He likes it!
