I bought my first pair of Ecco shoes about 15 years ago. They were unquestionably the most comfortable shoe I ever wore. I wore them several days per week. Still do because they are so comfotable, but they are getting very tired. Unfortunately, Ecco does not make that style any longer. I have tried other Ecco shoes and most were okay but not as comfortable as that first pair. These, however, are very close to that first pair in comfort. They seem a little big but that is okay. Better a little too big than too small. They also look very good. I have never worn Ecco shoes with a suit, but I did with these. I usually wear them to work with kackis and that works too. The price is very reasonable. A great value. I highly recommend this shoe.These are comfortable shoes. They aren't the quality we had in the 70's/80's but they are better than the low quality stuff I see at the deparment stores. I'll have to update my review later when I put some miles on these and see how the soles hold up to my massive weight.Fit is as expected, a bit stiff though much better than the pair of John Doe dress shoes I had. The comfort level is ok, but could be better my feet are a bit sore by the end of the day and I avoid wearing them two days in a row.For the past too many years I have not purchased any other brand period. My only issue is that this shoe purchased in my size is quite larger than usual. If you by get 1/2 size smaller if your a regular buyer of Ecco shoes.They fill the bill for $80. I needed a pair of black dress shoes for very occasional wear, and these fit the bill. I had an earlier pair of ECCO black wingtips that were so old the rubber soles fell apart. I would have had them resoled, but they were made more like a sneaker, with the sole glued on. I have another pair of ECCO's from Portugal, that I love, but the factory moved to guess where.The sole in the shoe is like cardboard. Thankfully I only wear these during weddings/funerals so I'm not in them all day.I wear a 5.5 wide US. Other wide shoes are too wide makes my foot tired. These shoes with leather top and synthetic sole mold around my foot making it very comfortable to have it on all day long. I am in sales having to walk a lot. These shoes are definitely made for me! I would like to see the manufacturer increase the heel height slightly.I love Ecco shoes, however this set is not of the same quality as my other Ecco wingtips. It has the same sole, but the shoe is not as rigid and seems to lack the fine details of the other wingtip.I have to agree with the previous reviewer these shoes are very comfortable straight out of the box. They are perfect for both casual and formal occasions and are made to an excellent standard.Ecco make good shoes.
