When buying US sized shoes I always order a half-size up from my actual size and I've never had an issue. With UK sized shoes it's been hit or miss for me. I recently ordered a pair of Fred Perry trainers in size 8 (the same size I buy all my shoes in) and they were snug. Not unwearbly so, but they fit like a 7.5...my natural shoe size. I prefer to have a little 'breathing room' in my shoes. I was a little nervous about the Gola's, this being my first experience with the brand. I ordered these in an 8...and luckily for me they fit like a true US 8. Comfortable and good-looking, and they appear to be made well. I only got them yesterday so I haven't abused them too much yet. I imagine they will last a while because I have around 10 pairs of shoes that I wear regularly, so none of em get beat up too quick. Liking these so far and would order again.Absolutely wonderful shoes but it is unfortunate that they come only in whole sizes. They also run what seems to be exactly 1/2 size large, at least in my range. I am ordinarily a US women's 7, but in that size the Harriers felt like a 7.5. I also tried the US 6, but those felt like a 6.5. Given that they are suede, I'm sure they'll stretch, but I'm planning to keep the 7 because the smaller size is just a bit too short. Also, the ankle opening is not all that big so there is absolutely no chance that they'll slip much.Other than sizing issues, these shoes are great. They look and feel very high-quality and they are magically also pretty light weight.I was worried that these might be too small for me after reading a lot of other (older) reviews which all mentioned that these run small. I normally wear a size 13 (US) and most shoes I buy are a little roomy but a size 12 is always too small. But I ordered the 13's and they are a perfect fit. So I would say they DO rum a bit small and are somewhat narrow. They are great looking for sneakers and seem to be well-made. I bought these to replace a pair of Adidas Gazelle and these are better shoes in every way. Highly recommend.These are great shoes for walking around. They aren't made for any sport or running but they are super comfortable and great for walking around. They also are made of suede and are a lot more durable than modern athletic shoes that are ridiculously thin material and wear out after a few months. Shame, as a great looking trainer.This is the second pair of these trainers I’ve ordered for my husband (different colours)They fit like a glove, and were very comfortable for walking in, no rubbed heals or toes with either of them, even on their first outing. can highly recommend.The Gola Synergy boots are lovely and comfy and warm but do come up big. I am a size 5-6 and also have wide feet so decided to go for the 6, but when I tried them on they were huge! and flapping around as I walked! So I then decided to order a size 5. They are still too big! I could not be bothered to return them again though so am just wearing big winter socks with them.I would say if you are a size 5 then to order a size 4.Also the fur does not go down all the way to the toe (although nearly all the way so I don't know why they didnt bother) but they are still very warm boots and I wear mine all the time.
