The materials that make up the tongue are stiff. When I wear shorty socks, it abrades the area it touches. If the socks are longer it is fine.Otherwise, I like the shoes. Good for long runs.I wear a 9 in everything. I can make an 8.5 work. The 9 runs very small. These are the most comfortable running shoes that I’ve ever worn! Cushion. Support. Space for my toes…I had NO IDEA that this could be found in one shoe! Going to buy more for sure!???Love this shoe! It’s light weight, roomy, & comfortable. The only issue is with the tongue of the shoe - it’s made of hard plastic material and scratches your leg/ankle if you wear low profile socks. Hopefully they reconsider this design with the next version b/c there is no benefit and just chews up your leg.I am a die hard Altra fan and this is why this review is so frustrating. Bottom line: Altra makes the best zero-drop running shoe with cushion that supports a natural gait. However...they make the worst adhesive for the outer sole.I have been running in Altra's for years, and for the reasons above. However, they need to seriously fix the awful outer sole durability. I have worn many different styles of Altras and have narrowed down my preferences to Torins for everyday working out and the Paradigm for long runs. Both outer sole adhesives just plain suck...Every pair I have purchased over the last few years has had this problem. I am relegated to using crazy glue to fix the shoes because EVERY pair has the same problem.Dear Altra, I love your shoe, however, I am jumping ship as soon as I find a competitor who can make a similar zero drop shoe with good cushion because your outer sole adhesive sucks. My favorite running shoe, but after a little more than a month, the bottoms are coming apart. I am racing a full and half Ironman on back to back days in 3 weeks. Can you assist???Soft and cushioned, but comfortable to stand in. Really nice shoes, I have no complaints or improvements.Started running again after several years. Was having pain in my knees and hips. Switched from shoes with an 8mm drop to the Altra zero drop. All pain went away almost instantly. Love these shoes. I bought the Lone Peak trail runners a year or so ago and needed some road runners. These things fit just like the lone peaks, nice and comfy with good room in the fore foot. Lots of cushion and super light. Consigliate!
