I’ve been running in adidas 4dfwd, ultraboost, and the 4dfwd-2 shoes for about 2 years now. I really enjoy the cushioning and return energy aspect of their foam and 4D bow tie sole design. I run on a treadmill and outdoors. I trained and ran a marathon in the all three versions. So, when I first tried the previous Boston 10s, about 1year ago, I loved the lighter design and stability. They were all of the best parts of the other shoes I’d been using, but considerably lighter. However, I bought them in size 11, the same as my everyday shoes and trainers from the past. Bad idea! After one short run on the treadmill, and a short run outdoors, one of my big toes was destroyed. The toenail was crushed, I had major bruising, and it didn’t completely heal until about 6 months later. I got rid of the first pair of Boston 10s. When I saw the Boston 11s on sale here, I jumped at it, going for a half size up. What a difference. The even lower weight just propelled my every stride with comfort. Just standing in these feels like I’m ready to fly. Comfort (at the 11.5) = outstanding, Durability= outstanding (at least with the continental tread). The variety of colorways is intriguing, but some come at a premium price. The standard black with white stripes is very nice. I’m glad the half size up provided the perfect fit in this model of adizero running shoes. Excellent part of my running rotation. BTW: these come with black laces. I lace all the way up to the top set of holes, so I felt the provided laces were a bit too short. I replaced the laces with these gold ones. Better length. Just a personal preference thing.
