The shoes look fantastic on my first day of wearing them. They do make a more pronounced sound when walking on solid surfaces and I think it is because the heel is not level with the sole.See the images where when I am standing erect, there is a gap at the rear of the heel, so the front of the heel is like a see-saw for the foot as I can rock the shoe back and forth on the heel while it’s flat on the ground.I have a pair of Clark’s, and another brand I forgot that have nicer cushioning under the heel inside the shoe.I still like them, but in comparison it loses a star.I received these shoes and they fit as expected, maybe a little longer than most other pairs, but otherwise good. However, the laces on the left shoe were jammed into the shoe and under the sole. I thought this wouldn't be a big deal, but it turned out it was ridiculous. Not only were they jammed under the sole, they were fused in with the foam padding of the sole, so when they came out, the laces ripped up the foam padding and pulled the sole out. What a dumb packaging process. Now, the foam padding is stuck all over the laces and looks ridiculous and the sole slips around and has "potholes" and lumps in it. Also, the tissue paper was stuck to several places on the soles as well, which left chunks of ripped paper all over it.Pretty disheartening to have your brand new shoes literally rip themselves apart before you can even try it on. Thanks a lot Stacy Adams. I really liked the look of the shoes, but come on. Edited the review rating because I was angry when I wrote it, but the shoes are comfortable and nice looking despite the lace issues.I bought these shoes when I got my job as a car sales.. they were an excellent footwear.. I could wear these the entire day at work and that included a lot of walking, in and out the hot summer/rain pavement and stepping in puddles of water by mistake!!.. Super comfortable after their broken in.. I mean I would rather wear these than other going out shoes lol.. So far in good condition but the running around the car lot every day worn down my bottom soles so I will be replacing them soon. Get compliments on them and they hold up in wear and tear. I have bought 2 of Giorgo Brutini mens dress shoes and they both have been replaced by these as durability.. It does have a clacking noise.. the heels touching a hard floor will make your presence be known. Highly recommended for work/looks/going outThese are absolutely one of the best cap toe shoes I've ever worn. They are very comfortable and I have received numerous comments about how nice they look. I went up 1/2 size as I sometimes do with Stacy Adams shoes that come with extra padding as these do. If I stay with my normal size, the shoes are just a slight tight. I already knew this about these particular shoes. Going up a 1/2 size is no big deal and I am extremely pleased.I love these shoes and have worn through the soles of my first pair. Compliment getter! However, it cost almost as much to fix the heel of the old ones as the new pair did and if i did the whole sole, I could have bought 2 more pairs. Needless to say I didn't fix the sole and bought these instead.I ended up getting these for a wedding and they worked well enough. Would never have purchased these otherwise, so am not sure how often or if they'll be worn again though. The shoes are a bit difficult to slip into, would strongly recommend using a shoe horn with it. Not too horribly uncomfortable considering the style/materials used, wouldn't really recommend for daily use or heavy walking unless you are accustomed to this type of shoe already in terms of comfort.Color is as expected based on images in posting, except the toe is slightly darker brown as is the fashion now I suppose. Materials and quality appear to be sound. Very pleased.this is a very nice shoe. however, it has a pointed toe that adds nearly an inch in length ... compared to my normal shoes (e.g., slip-on loafers or conventional wingtips). so, if you like this style, it's a great shoe.not bad price good and fast shipping time
