I use this for multi-colored electrical tape and the cores to the rolls are 1 1/2" and 2 7/8" in diameter I state this fact as this dispenser is not designed for use with this size or kind of tape. I like the rounded core mounting brackets as it helps with the dispensing of the tape with only one hand and that's why I initially bought it. Other dispensers I own have a curved bar mounting bracket and the cardboard cores get hung up on the bracket requiring you have use two hands to dispense the tape. These types of dispenses are geared toward lab tape or graphic tape that is a paper based tape and would be cut easily with the serrated edge. I bought it knowing it wouldn't cut the tape that I use but I like the round mounting cores for the dispensing. I wasn't aware that they also had suction cups on the feet of the dispenser which helps keep it in place. That adds to the star count and usefulness. The item I received is not as shown in the manner of the bracket location on the frame and I don't recall if the same picture was used when I made the purchase. The tape dispenser I received has the mounting bars for the tape sitting below the frame of the dispenser. They aren't mounted as high as shown. Is could be an issue if your tape rolls are wide. The only other issue I see is that the you can't line up all of the mounting bars with the tape toward the front hole in the dispenser as the brackets are designed to fill each hole. I was able to get two brackets side by side but not all four. This is an issue if your tape rolls are wider than 1 " core that the unit was designed to fit so that's a user issue and not a design flaw. The description clearly states the type of type it's designed to hold. I state this in case someone else wants to use it in a similar fashion.I would recommend this dispenser if you use the tape style and size it's designed for as the overall design is good.
