I switch out drivers fairly frequently. I tried one of these a friend had and after hitting it beautifully a couple of times during the round, I was sold. Especially a few weeks later when it was down to $179 with free shipping with Prime. Huh? This was a $400 4 months ago. Welcome to the world of churn and turn golf club marketing and retail. Makes you wonder how much these things cost to make in China.Back to the club. I was impressed immediately out of the box with its beauty and build. Very nice work Callaway. But what seems to always happen, once I got it I didn't hit it as well as the first couple of times I hit my buddy's that day. But now that I've played a half dozen rounds with it experimenting with the settings, I'm back to happy. Especially at this price point. (In fact I've already seen it lower once.) One thing I've noticed switching drivers is that it usually changes which balls seemed to work best with it. But that's cool since it gives me an opportunity to go back to some of the previously enjoyed balls languishing in my garage and to experiment with new balls. Good fun.I started playing around the time of the "Biggest Big Bertha". Funny how that thing looked so big and seemed so huge. Now it looks like a 5 wood and I couldn't hit that thing to save my dog's life. Yes. I still have it. I'm waiting for the call from the Smithsonian. They will love my garage when they start work on their late 20th century golf exhibition.
