These shoes were an upgrade from my previous cycling shoes, the Specialized Torch 2.0 and what an upgrade they were! The dual BOA and comfort and fit of the Fizik Knit provides an incredible fit. I immediately felt the difference in power transfer from the stiffer carbon and the nice snug fit (without being tight) that the dual BOA provides.Another reviewer strongly recommended going a half size down from what you normally wear as these Fizik R1's run a little large. I found this to be EXACTLY the right recommendation and would recommend it to you too. Trust me. Go a half size down from what you normally wear in cycling shoes and it should be spot on. For example in my Specialized, I wore a 44. In the Fizik, I ordered a 43.5... perfecto.I know every foot is different, but I couldn't give a higher recommendation to these shoes. Anyone who does a lot of cycling knows that changing shoes is a scary endeavor, because if you get it wrong... you're hurting. Whether these shoes are that great or I just got lucky doesn't matter to me. VERY happy customer here!
