I own several pair of Mezlan Shoes! I have to say that the styling of them all is GREAT!!!!!! I Love Italian shoes for that reason! Domestic shoe brands always go for functionality first! The somewhat antique finish of these shoes is Gorgeous! You cannot see it in the picture but in the light it has different shades throughout the leather and the polish job is impeccable! I've read a few bogs in regards to Mezlan Shoes, and I feel that the negative opinions are based on LACK of STYLE and BEATING the shoe to death! I don't believe any QUALITY shoe should be worn every day without a break! I have worn a few pair of my Mezlans daily and they're holding up great! Sorry for the rant! GREAT SHOE! STYLISH! WELL BUILT! By the way, I'm 6'5", 346lb. If I can maintain comfort and reliability without busting up the shoe, anyone can!!!Very light, very stylish. Received many complements.Took two days to break it in and since then it feels as if I'm not wearing anything. Its a leather sole, so avoid water and it is slippery on tile floors. Otherwise its great. Very quiet when walking (unlike the rubber soled shoes I wear on rainy days).Very nice, but higher gloss then it appears in the photo. More like patent leather, but nice shine on a dramatic shoe shape. This shoe is amazing. Feels great, fits great, looks great. I have worn mezlans before so I took a chance. Strongly considering buying a 2nd pair. Not same as other Mezlan shoes that I had and have, seems they are knockoffs. It's my understanding that the Duke 2's which were made in Spain, generally cost in the $240 range. By contrast the $160 Duke 2's, are of a somewhat lesser quality, are made in Mexico. Apparently, there was a misunderstanding, because although I shelled out $240, my shoes were manufactured in Mexico. Unfortunately, I didn't discover this until it too late. Somewhere, someplace, someone received the Spanish-made Duke 2's, despite only paying $160. If you buy the Spanish made shoes, make sure you examine them, in regards to this.1- They didn't send me the same shoes that are in the picture (Mezlan Duke II ).2- My shoe size is 11 US but these are shown really bigger than my other shoes.3- The quality is not same as other Mezlan shoes that I had before, unfortunately because it's made in Mexico not Spain
