This is just what I was looking for. The perfect weight for spring or fall here in New England, and a good choice for when it rains. The fit is as described, and the features are outstanding. The 2 outside zipper pockets high on the chest are perfect for my phone and wallet. The 2 flap pockets at the waist have handwarmer slits and secure with both a snap fastener and velcro. That works well because I don't like fussing with the snaps and can simply leave them undone and rely on the velcro. The zip off sleeves are a plus, and there is a zip pouch inside at the small of the back to carry them when using as a vest. With sleeves removed, the vest looks properly finished, as opposed to something Bill Belichik might have created with a machete, I got the Lite Khaki, which has a very slight olive cast to it.All told, there are 10 pockets inside (labeled, no less!) hence the FlyQ 10 System designation. They are labeled as follows: 1) "Imagine" (for the sleeves), 2 "Getaway" (for a passport), 3) "Capture" (for a camera), 4) ""Journal" ( for a pen), 5) "Connect" (left side, for a phone), 6) "Connect" (right side, large and padded for a tablet, 7) "Secure" (inside #6, for keys), 8) "Protect" (for glasses), 9) "Hydrate", for a water bottle, and 10) "Care"(for lip balm. How do I know? because it has an icon showing a pair of lips!).I would have given this 5 stars but for the small size of the phone pocket. The inside pocket for the phone has a clear plastic insert that is supposed to allow you to operate your phone without removing it. However, anything bigger than a Samsung Galaxy S3 will not fit! I know because I have an old S3 kicking around and it barely fit. My HTC One M8 and my wife's Nexus 5X do not. I did not deduct for the fact that the water bottle pocket is too small to fit anything larger than the 3.4 ounces you're allowed on a plane. There are plenty of other pockets, and several would hold a normal size water bottle for when you're not flying. All in all, an excellent jacket that would be great if they simply made the phone pocket fit a 5" phone. On a previous ExOfficio travel jacket/vest the zipper connecting one sleeve to the vest part failed. Finding a seamstress with skills to handle the repair was aggravating. And the repair was aggravating for the seamstress. The jacket had served me successfully for heavy travel use over about 29 years. So, rather than risk another zipper failure, I bought this updated version. It differs from the old one with newer fabric materials, with most of the cargo pockets being on the inside (giving better security) , and the lack of a hood. After a month-long trip through South America on which the jacket had daily use, I'm quite pleased with it. I particularly like the interior pocket designs. They all have icon tags indicating the intended use. Only one was sized too small for its purpose - the cell phone pocket is too small for my 5 5/16in phone, not long by 2017 standards. Too bad as the phone pocket has a plastic cover to assist screen viewing. One pocket, however, is large enough to easily hold my 10inch tablet and other things (eg. travel documents). The pocket for a small camera lacks a secure closure, leaving the camera vulnerable to pickpockets or falling out when you take off the jacket. A pocket on the back side is good for stowing the sleeves when you want to wear the jacket as a vest. It's large enough to hold light weight gloves, a scarf and rain hat as well. Packed right it provided good lumbar support on tortuous airline and bus seats.Even with the pockets full, I didn't feel bloated like a Thanksgiving Day parade balloon. It was a good windbreaker in gusts up to 40mph, shed the rain easily, and fit comfortably over a sweater when I needed extra warmth. While I miss not being able to stuff camera lenses into the outside billow pockets, the extra security of the inside storage is worth changing my habits. There are a couple of outside pockets: at the chest they are good for small things. At the waist for hand warmers, gloves and maps. It also served comfortably as a vest on days with temps in the 80s-90s. And, it washed out well after returning home. I hope that this jacket lasts as long as the older ExOfficio.I have owned many travel jackets from most every Travel Jacket company out there. Global Travel Clothing, Ayegear, SEV, Nat Geo, and the X37. I have traveled a lot domestically and to several foreign countries. Some for long periods of time. A travel jacket is a must for long trips. I have to say I was surprised, this jacket is pretty good for the price point.Pros:1. The zip of sleeves are nice2. It is water resistant material.3. The soft felt liner bits were a nice touch.Cons:1. You can not put it in the dryer. The plastic pocket will melt.2. It has some pockets that do not fully enclose. This is a disaster waiting to happen.3. The water bottle net seems like an afterthought and not sturdy.4. The pocket ID tags are a waste of resources. Put the money into better things instead of the cheap plastic clips. The idea of travel jackets in general are great, you can carry more and not have to get out of your seat often. If you want a really good travel jacket then you will have to spend more than $90. Yes that's a bit expensive, but they do have some worthwhile features like hidden pockets, zip-in liners, eye masks, etc. In the end the size was not quite right for me and the big square external pocket design was a big turn off.The one I liked the best is the one from Global Travel Clothing.
