I think that if you are not a wide foot person, these shoes in your regular size are fine I think. This is because I am a 4E 8.5", or known as an extra wide 8.5", and I bought these in a 9", and they feel fine. Not tight, not too clown shoe like. I just warn you that these shoes are not like your normal shoes, they have a point like dress shoes, so you will have like an extra inch of unused space as a pointe. The design aside from that looks as described.1 flaw however are the laces they come with. They are 30" so you know to replace them. Anyway, they are extremely flimsy, and don't hold a knot. But the big issue is the look. When wearing chukkas, you want to have a clean crisp look. These laces are sloppy looking due to holding a poor bow, and give off a tennis shoe aura, to the point where it overwhelms the great shoe design.
