Just amazing. Seriously. I had a pair of Keen Newport H2 waterproof leather for over 10 years, and when the strap in back broke, I decided to get another pair. I always enjoyed the comfort and utility of the old H2, and didn't really care how they looked. I smashed my ankle and foot once and when I was recovering, the foot doctor I was seeing even recommended Keen footwear for the correct arch and footbed. Still, I decided to go against the grain, and my own experience and save a few bucks and went through several pairs of cheaper footwear. Some hurt the top of my foot, my back ached after walking a few miles in others. I finally broke down and ordered the new Rialto off of Amazon, and I have not been disappointed. Right out of the box my feet were happy to be greeted by an old friend, and they only get better. I have put several miles on them, and my feet are extremely thankful. My back does not hurt after a long day spent shopping and walking in them. No irritating rubbing on the top of the foot, ankle or heel, and the arches are just right. If you are worried about the price, look at your cost per year...I mean my last pair of Keens lasted over 10 years, so that's about 10 bones a year for extreme foot comfort. You can't beat that. You want the best, buy yourself some Keens.Love Keen they are the only brand i trust for long hikes up uncharted routes, I've tried almost all the other brands and the ones i always reach for on my way out are my Keens. That said.. When i saw this new model, i was ready to retire my old Keen's Venice shoes which ive taken around the world including on many swims just to avoid a few sharp rocky shores. Those were my go to sandals and the ones that got me hooked on Keens (despite needing to get over the toe cap look) as no matter what i threw at them they survived, never fell apart and kept my feet blister free.Only downside to the Keen Venice and the similar Newport models is that they are quite heavy compared to most other sandals (which is quite important when travelling). I've since also bought their Clearwater CNX sandals, which are much lighter and i also really like, though sadly their lightness comes at the cost of almost no cushioning, so i only use CNX's on the streets and not the trails. Now enter the Rialto's, upon seeing the new designs and the better looking toe caps i was excited again about Keens. The foot bed of these shoes are really comfortable, more so than the Venice, Newport and certainly far better than the CNX range. However be warned!! the Velcro adjustment at the back is in my view a huge step back, its what i hate the most about other brands (e.g. Teva). It makes the back of the shoe more complex i.e. there's plastic for the buckle, multiple parts of overlapping material which all leads to additional friction and chafing. I really miss the one part construction at the back, that's far more comfortable than the overlapping and side parts that go into adding the Velcro. Additionally because of the thicker Velcro on the back and the buckle you can no longer easily fold the back down and use the shoes like slippers as you can so easily do with other Keen's (it actually hurts to walk on them). Think the Velcro is a huge step back, love everything else about the sandals except for the Velcro straps at the back, i really hope Keen sees the error in this design and either removes or redesigns the Velcro adjustment to be seamless and far more comfortable.I have 2 pairs of these. They do run slightly wide but I wear a size 10 and it fit like any other shoe. This is about the only thing I wear anymore. On our cruise I wore them in the pool, spa, and along the beach. I have taken hikes for several miles and they held up great. I have tried swimming in the ocean with them and it was like having extra weights on your feet (more than the weight of the shoe) but they worked just fine. I also wore them in Alaska with thick socks and they were great. The ONLY thing I found you have to be careful of is there is NO ankle support so walking or hiking you just have to be careful. I love these sandals and wear them daily.Boy am I glad I spent the extra money for the US made version of these sandals. I have tried the cheaper ones on, and although I liked them I wanted to try these. They are very comfortable and well made. The Velcro strip across the back is very helpful in putting them on, but I find once you get them set to your fit, they are simple enough to slide on and off. The soles have good traction on wet concrete. The bottoms have very nice cushioning so they stay comfortable all day long. I like the look better as well, the front toe area isn't as pronounced as the other models. I usually have problems ordering shoes online, as sizes are not always right but I ordered these to my regular shoe size and they fit perfect. The all leather construction also makes them look a lot nicer. Finally!! Its about time Keen released a Sandal with a Removable Foam Cushioned Footbed and none of those Metatomical EVA Rubber Footbed that has a lining and markings that annoys the hell out of my feet every time I walk. These sandals are almost perfect that I actually bought two pairs, a black and brown. The only problem is that the size tag on the tongue of the shoe gets sticky and rubbery when it touches your skin. You can't really remove it for it is heavily glued. I just have to put a little powder on it every time I wear them. I also like the removable footbed so you can wash them if it get stinky and dirty. It's like walking on supper soft matting. Other than that no complains. Love them!I ordered these in brown as I have them in grey from last year. The grey are so comfortable and I am glad to say these are just as comfortable as the grey. They have Velcro to hold the insoles to make them easier to remove for cleaning. I actually had to use a spatula to pry between the sole and insole to separate them, but it is worth it to be able to clean them and keep them from stinking! I will be buying another pair next year in black if they have them in stock.Habe bereits Keen Sandale Gr. 44 jahrelang getragen.
