All in all I really like this shoe. It has a classy look but with just enough flair. It pairs perfectly both with my light grey suit or khakis and a button down shirt. The shoes did come with a few scratches in them, but nothing that a little buffing and product shouldn't take care of.The fit is ok. it's not so much that the shoe is too narrow, but the design, with the elongated toe, causes the shoe to bend (when walking) right where my pinky toe is, so after a few hours it starts to hurt. The opening around the ankle was also a little large, so the shoes have to be tied pretty tight to keep them from moving around the back of my ankle too much, and even then I did get some blisters the first day I wore them. I wore them for the first time to a conference in Anaheim which required a lot of walking, and they did break in well over the course of the weekend, but by the end of the 3rd day, my feet were absolutely killing me, but I think this would be the case with any shoe of this style, and isn't necessarily a criticism of this particular shoe. The shoe did seem to have a lot of wax on it. Over the course of the weekend this seemed to discolor and turn whiter in spots where the leather moved a lot. I'm not sure if this is normal for a shoe like this or not, but it did somewhat detract from the appearance of the shoe. All in all, despite the noted issues, I think this is a solid shoe, especially for the price, and seems well constructed. I also recommend pairing it with the matching Florsheim Men's 32 mm Full Grain Leather Wingtip Belt, to really complete the look.I owned a pair of this exact same shoe I bought about 8 years ago, but my foster dog recently got ahold of them and destroyed them. I was excited to see I could still get a pair on Amazon so I immediately ordered them.Quick note, I wore my old ones about once or twice a month for the first 6-7 years. In the last year or so they were getting worn 2-3 times per week.First thing I noticed when I opened the box was that the color is a bit off. My original pair were more of a dark honey color, these are more of a medium-dark brown, with less contrast between the tip and shoe. Second, the leather feels cheaper than my older pair. But, I decided to give them a try anyways.Walking in to work, I immediately noticed they seemed to pick up every little pebble I stepped on. Getting in the office I tool a look at the soles because I could feel a stuck rock, and they were destroyed - all cracked up and chunks missing. They look worse than the ones the dog got ahold of!These are either counterfeit or Florsheim quality has gone way down hill in the last 8 years. These are garbage and I recommend you don't buy them.I think the photos might be mixed up. The color I received said Saddle Tan on the box and that matches what I ordered but the shoes that arrived are the color of the plain tan ones in the photos. Instead of having a natural reddish tan color like in the photos the ones I received were almost like tan paint. They look very cheap compared to the ones in the photos labeled Saddle Tan. I returned mine. The fit was good though. If they ever get my size in Tan I will probably order them and see if my photo mix-up theory is correct.Update 5/29/2015Returned first pair. Spoke to an Amazon rep that suggested I reorder to see if there might have been a mixup with the wrong color. Same hideous color came. These are some of the ugliest shoes I have seen. The color reminds me of cheap tan spray paint. In the photos, the shoe matches the color of the leather in the heel. It is a rich, reddish natural leather tone. The shoes that came have a beautiful heel but the rest of the shoe looks like a $20 shoe you would find in a cheap discount shoe store. I have other Florsheims and I love them. I can't believe they would even put their name on such a hideous shoe. For me, these shoes are absolutely unwearable. After seeing the same shoes a second time I knocked off a star and put it down to just 1 star.In the zombie apocalypse I might wear these shoes if they were the only option, but only if I was certain the zombies no longer had the cognitive power to see them and laugh at me. Otherwise I would just go barefoot or strap tree bark to my feet with bailing twine. The picture I took makes them look better than they do in real life. They actually look cheaper in person.******Update 5/29/2015**********Went to a local shoe store and found the same shoe! Listed as the same shoe model and color as here on Amazon. It matched the pictures shown here exactly. Finally! Obviously the shoes Amazon sent were either horribly made out of spec or more likely were mislabeled on the box. Hopefully it was just that one box in size 10. So glad I finally found he right color. Oh and I did end up getting a 9 1/2 at the shoe store. These shoes run very big. All my other shoes are either 10 or 10 1/2. I haven't worn 9 1/2 since high school. 9 1/2 in these fit me perfectly. The quality for this wingtip's pricepoint is great. Florsheim shoes, excluding the ones under ~$100, are built well. Maybe not as great as they once were back in the day, but I can't complain about this shoe. I receive compliments all the time -- from strangers and friends alike. They fit true-to-size and just look excellent on your feet. When I say true-to-size, I mean that in your dress shoe size. For those that don't normally purchase shoes like these and wear mostly sports shoes (Nike, Adidas, etc), you'll likely need to size down by half a size. Some may need to size down a full size. As for me, I wear a 9.5 US in sports shoes and a 9 in dress shoes. Don't worry about there being extra room up at the toe box; that's common for shoes like these. Don't size down for that reason alone. For those looking for a dressier but still somewhat casual look, these wingtips are spot on. Make sure you grab a pair of shoe trees and leather conditioner to keep the leather uppers nice and healthy for years to come.*Note: the pair of shoes in the images are size 9, have been worn around 10-15 times since purchase. The color may look slightly darker as Leather Honey Conditioner has been applied to them to keep them hydrated.Garbage shoes.1) the leather in these shoes is not very good quality. The finish out of the box is great but they appear to be a corrected genuine leather rather than a full grain leather. Now, full grain leather at this price point would be an amazing deal. These are an okay deal given the lower quality leather.2) the synthetic soles are pretty flimsy and the heels started to separate. I have had my black shoes for a few months and only wear them at the office so they don’t get a ton of wear. That being said the soles are starting to soften and the heel is separating. I will need to get them repaired and will probably look at getting some sole savers to extend the life of these shoes. Great quality shoe.3) Soles don’t last. I have owned these shows for 2 months and the sole of one shoe is already cracked needs replacing.Great dress shoe at an affordable price! They look sharp with my MTM suit. Was a bit skeptical ordering shoes online without trying them on. So, I went to a haberdashery and found my exact size in a comparable shoe, then ordered that. It saved me hundreds of dollars!Me llegaron en tiempo, pero resulta que los dos zapatos son izquierdo y de distintos tamaños, uno de la talla correcta y el otro talla gigante. Los tuve que regresar. Ya no los quise volver a comprar porque subió el precio a más del doble.Bought the same in black and alternate days. After 10 months and 1 winter in Toronto this was a good purchase and I'd buy a new pair in a few years.Exactly what I expected as shown in the photo. Hopefully I got the right size for my partner... I'm giving this as a gift.
