What can I say? Dr Frankenstein gave me abnormal feet. One measures 12 4E and the other 13 2E. It makes shoe shopping a whole lot of fun. The biggest hurdle though is finding shoes with width in the toe box. Some claim 2E or 4E widths. But they just don't measure up in real life. I have tried several brands recently and have not had a lot of luck. One particular brand I like makes genuine leather shoes with a wide toe box that doesn't taper in like most. But they do not offer Wide widths. So it is hit or miss whether they will fit at all. And it takes time for the leather to stretch to fit comfortably. If only they would offer Wide widths.Anyway, I bought these because they offered them in a 6E. I thought surely these would fit. In 6E they should fit a Sasquatch. Alas, the toe box is tapered in. I had trouble just getting them on. And my toes were definitely scrunched up. So back they went. Overall, they seemed snug the whole length of the shoe. Very surprising for a shoe sold as a 6E. The other brand I mentioned earlier feels better in a straight 13. Very odd and disappointing for me personally.Great shoes just tight arthe ankles.See aboveFinally a osha safe restaurant slip/oil resistant shoe with the best thing know to man, the roll bar system, it's not a gimmick, every other shoe I own the shoe is rolled over from me being overweight, but every dunham shoe I have owned I have walked the soles off, or they just fell apart from working on concrete floors of a kitchen, and the chemicals and hot water from the dish room, I never was upset to have to replace any shoe in the past 11 years of working in a kitchen. I will forever be buying these now that they are oil resistant. The outside seams on both shoes are already pulling apart from the sole after only 5 months of use. I only use these shoes at work and have been making sure to regularly apply leather sealant and water proofing and still having the seams give up.This shoe did not last 3 monthsimpressive shoes for the cold weather. They are a good width. The heal comes up too high and is a little inflexible. I'm hoping it wears and becomes more comfortable. Also, the shoestrings are too damn short. They come untied all of the time. They are about 4 or 5 inches too short. This is really stupid. They should ship the shoes with appropriately long shoe strings. Kind of inexcusable, really.I can't complain about the quality of this brand, they are quite good. I had a similar pair last nearly ten years. I will say however that here is another once American company that has off-shored its jobs to China. Not a good look Dunham. I didn't think about where they were made, in the past, but I will be looking for something made domestically.
