I have had injuries to both legs and have had both rebuilt. This has caused my shoe size to change from a 12 to a 13W. Boots were particularly difficult for me, as my ankles no longer had the flexibility to navigate into the boot. I still cannot wear any of the taller boots, particularly with a riding heel, but these ropers from Ariat have been great. The uppers on the boot are no reinforced, so they have a lot of flexibility and give. The boots themselves are very comfortable. It is amazing how much more comfortable boots are now compared to 30 years ago. I still have to use boot hooks to get them on, due to my injuries, but they slide on pretty well and I don't have much in the way of slippage once they are on. To be honest, I enjoyed the first pair I bought so much that I bought another pair, same style, different color. I heartily recommend these boots. Even if you don't have mobility issues, they will feel great, and if you think you can't wear western boots any longer because of injury or mobility, give these a try.
