I bought this for $58 after going quite a few years without a winter coat, and with the recent cold snap I think it was about time. For the price, I think it was a bargain. I wanted a non-down jacket (check out what happens to get down, it's not very nice) that additionally offers some warmth when it's wet, unlike down jackets. The medium blue/dark blue colour isn't my first choice, but I'm at the age where fashion isn't really that important, and it looks nice enough.Warmth is excellent, if anything too warm! It's hard to walk slowly even in really cold weather without getting a little too warm (and that's with just a t-shirt on), but then again, I run on the warm side anyway. Fit is excellent, though I think a little on the large side. It doesn't feel like a big bulky jacket either. Front pockets are well suited to put your hands in and keep them warm, and finish seems to be of high quality. The coat packs easily down, though I try not to compress it as I suspect any kind of insulation (down or not) probably isn't going to perform at its best with frequent crushing.I haven't been out in the rain with this (simply because if it was raining, it would be too warm to wear this), so can't comment on what happens when it gets wet. The only faint negative I have is I feel after prolonged wearing it may not ventilate as well as it could, but again, this is usually offset by the fact you need to unzip to keep cool anyway. The only other issue is the medium blue colour may show dirt more easily, but given the price and the fact I won't be using it too often, I can't complain.
