I ordered this shoe for my husband because he wanted a casual slip on to wear to meetings as opposed to a tennis shoe. We loved the look and style of this shoe & the fact that it was made by New Balance made it all more appealing, but unfortunately it didn't fit. We ordered a 15 EEEE as per his usual shoe size and while the width was fine, the length was at least a size too large. I was able to return the shoe for a full refund, however when I tried to replace it with a 14 EEEE it was almost double the cost! This item was sold by Shoebuy.com through Amazon, so I contacted Shoebuy.com to find out if there was some mistake. Somehow even with EVERY single item, routing, & tracking number she couldn't find my order & could not help me figure out why there was a cost difference. I even asked her to forget trying to find my old order & just tell me why the cost would be so much more for a smaller shoe, but without an order number she simply could not help me. If this shoe was more reasonably priced for all sizes I would definitely order it again, but NOT from shoebuy.com. I am giving the shoe a 3 star due only because of size & cost. My husband said the shoe itself was very comfortable & it looked great, too bad it didn't fit properly.This product is terrible. I bought these shoes for a party. Luckily they got through the day. The sole of the shoe started falling off immediately. The shoes have a great look and the leather is very nice. The shoes won’t last. Don’t even consider buying.These arrived the day before leaving for a week long trip and my husband decided to wear them the next day as we traveled by airline across the country, having plane changes, etc. but put another pair of older shoes in his carry on bag in case these became uncomfortable because of their newness. Not only did he not have a problem with them that day but wore them almost all the time we were on vacation. Finding a large size shoe can be a challenge. These are great. They looked very nice and went well with his Dockers and cargo pants as well.I bought these for my husband to wear as a casual shoe in the summer that could be worn with and without socks. He wears a 13 Wide and these fit well just out of the box. They have a leather upper but are very light and have a boat shoe sole. We shall see if they wear well over time. Hard to find a wide slip-on these days so I would recommend these even though the price is a bit steep for such a light shoe.UPDATE: These shoes have been worn nearly every day for a year and they have held up well.I originally ordered my normal size 12 and it was clearly too small. My toes pushed against the inside of the shoe. I went with the 13 and they seemed to be the right size but the fit is uncomfortable. It seems that the inside of the shoe has just enough texture or grain that as I slide my foot in the shoe grabs the sock and pulls it tight against my toes. I've never experienced this before. The shoe is large enough but feels small. If I pull the sock slightly to loosen it and then put it in the shoe then the fit is OK but the sock may get bunched up. It seems I'm the only one with this issue. The shoes seem well made. My rating would otherwise be a 5.These shoes are very nice looking and well made. Fit was a little tight but they may work in a bit after some wear. Very pleased with this purchase.I get a lot of compliments on these. They are a nice in-between when I want something that is casual but a little nicer. I have a wide foot so I got it in a wide shoe but these are actually a little too wide. Oh well, the risk you take when ordering online.I chose this product due to the sale price and was very happy with it. Would recommend to other and it fits true to its size.
