These boots are lined with thinsulate. That being said they don't look like a bulky winter boot they look like regular hiking boots.I wear size 11 I ordered 11 and they fit great. infact the first time I put them on I was wearing a pair of wool socks. The fit was perfect. If you have wide feet try a size bigger if they are too tight it will reduce the effectiveness of the insulation.I've endured 10 hours plus with good wool socks and these boots in -20 f weather with ease. My feet were warm and dry.Good looking warm water proof boots.Since they don’t have half sizes the boots are a touch big on me but over all I’m extremely happy with them very warm very light weightThese boots are terrific. I got them because they are a bit "dressy" for a trip I am taking this winter. They are however very warm and, though I have not walked through huge puddles, seem to be very waterproof. I wear a size 10.5 in sneakers and shoes, but have a larger winter pak boot w/ removable liner from Baffin as well, size 11. So I went with that and they fit perfectly.Great quality item. We have purchased this for our 14-y.o. son. He wears size EUR 41 so size 9 was a good fit. He had it on all winter. It is durable, comfortable, light yet warm and great looking item for snow.I don't know how I survived before these boots. I almost want to hike more just so that I can wear them. The padding and roll of the boot's toe are magnificent.Good snow boot with plenty of ankle supportGreat boot, very comfortable but didn't need anything quite so warm so returned it.Really great boots, fit well as it Amazon recommend and i ordered a half-size bigger. Keep your feet warm and dry, they are breathable and very soft.Worn for 2 days. Sprayed before using, leaking already. Seriously disliking this brand. They fit great, feel great, but leak bad like all others iv bought by baffin. I'm officially done with brand.*I will update this review to comment on the durability in the future*I was surprised at how nice these look--good looking profile. Light weight too. A bit stiff but breaking in nicely. Haven't had cold feet at -15C yet. If unsure of size, order UP. No issues with water proofing, but I coated these in beeswax. At full price, these are good boots. At sale price, these are excellent. They have a piece of hard plastic at the heel. This may be a deal-breaker for some but for me, in socks, I barely notice it after 5 minutes of walking and once that tiny annoyance is gone, these are the most comfortable boots I have owned. I have worked in a cold-food storage warehouse for about a decade and have worn all sorts of $300 work boot, worn all sorts of winter boot to walk to and from that job and these boots are the most comfortable. They are not too thick and have just enough insulation to keep my feet warm without causing them to sweat. One of the banes of my existence as a worker/walker is my feet over-heating, sweating and then freezing as a result. This boot may not have done that on purpose but for me, they work.I got the brown and the boots look just like photo. I think they strike a nice balance between looks and function. I intend on using them as smart casual boots to and from the office during the bitter cold months of Alberta, Calgary winters. I take a size 10.5 US dress shoe/sneaker and often will fit a 10.5-11 US boot. I ordered the 11 and it fits comfortably for my intended casual walking needs (I’m not hiking in them, so don’t need a performance fit to prevent blisters) with some room for a warmer sock to increase the warmth. Note that the label on the actual boot says these are only rated to -10 C, so keep that in mind. If you need a -30 C boot, keep looking. I have a -30 C Salomon boot which I have been using for a decade for Canadian winter hiking/chores (Ontario & Alberta) and they still are looking great and I can testify are very warm in -30 C weather. Baffin has some other colder weather rates boots but they wouldn’t suit office/casual use IMHO. These seem like a good compromise and should hopefully be good enough for short walks of 5-15 mins in -30 C… we will see.Very very comfy, they look great, and the grips on the bottom seem amazing. Looking forward to trying them out once the snow starts falling. I think they will stand up quite well to ice and slippery snowfall. I'd also trust these in muddy conditions.
